So, I have tried to keep an online journal for many times now, however, it always ends up screwing me in the butt at some point or another. Oh well, I was bored (once agian) and decided to start one up except I am not all that competent when it comes to these things so bare with me in the first couple of entries. =) Anyways, we are a couple of days away from Thanksgiving and the hall seems "oh so lonely" . Unfortunaltely, I am staying here, and I will be missing out on the 90 degree weather of the Rio Grande Valley and the warmth of my friends and family. I guess the only good thing that might possibly come out of this will be doing some work (yeah right!). During these times I feel that I it is really easy to tell who my friends are. For example, I have been somewhat ignored and mistreated here by people, but I feel so close and accepted by Tracey (my B.F.) back at home. No matter how badly my day is going she always makes me smile.
Well, for a change in subject I guess I will start telling my adventures to y'all!!! So, Saturday was definately the highlight of this week and probably of the month. The M.O.B. crew and I went to Saratoga Springs (or is it Falls? oh well!!!) to see THE ONE, THE ONLY Ian Belton (our ex director for A Mouthful of Birds). The ride up there was insane. Matt, Venus, Ted, Shannon, and I all crammed into an early 90s Escort and began our 4 1/2 hour trip to see the oldest 6 year old. hehehe The play was alright (I have a bias towards Mouthful), but then we hang out we Ian after the show and it was insane. He is one of the smartest people I know, and so creative, and so.... Ahhhh, it's just awesomeness all around whenever we are hanging out. Around 12:30 a.m. we decided to head back to the good ol' U of R, however, Matt decided to take a detour and drive to Vermont. Yes, ladies & gentlemen, you heard correctly....VERMONT!!! 45 freaking miles out of the way, thank goodness Ms. Shannon noticed the sign that said "Exit to Vermont". So we get back on the road, and yours truly takes charge of the wheel and drives all the way to Rochester. It felt so great to drive for such a long time and without anyone on the road. It was definately therapeutic. To make an even longer story long and then to make it short, we arrived around 6:30 a.m. Granted we all had work or rehearsal in a couple of hours. The bags underneath our eyes and the yawns throughout the day were definately worth it.
