So, it's been quite interesting being one of the 5 people alive on this campus for the past 2 to 3 days. I have realized that the campus is actually quite pleasant when it is not being bombarded by annoying freshmen (not all of them are), there aren't any rampages going on, and when the closest thing you come to harm is a bee sting. However, I do wish more of the food places were open. I am not saying that I adore Aramark food (oh, God no!), but I am saying that I can only handel so much mac&cheese. The good thing was that my friend Natalie made some quite good turkey today and now I am about to fall asleep. I don't care about all that whole crap that says it is biologically impossible to fall asleep due to the cause of eating too much turkey. Well, you know what? I say it is, all that eating, and moving of your arm up and down in order to bring that tender and delicious piece of white (or dark) meat to your mouth. After an hour of that it can surely wear you out. So, Ha!!! I have proven my theory. Too much work=nap time
On another note, I am saddened because I am not spending the holidays with my family. My mom called me a while ago and it took all my strength to hold my tears back. I only wish I could be home during these times. Funny, how I think myself of being this independent woman who can control and lead a life single-handedly, but when it comes to the very end of things, I am just a little 5-year old girl wishing to hold on to the back of her mother's leg for protection. Well, the good thing is I will spending Christmas with them which I am bound to gain 25 extra pounds because my mother has been telling me the menu. Oh my goodness will there be food!!! I await the day. Well everybody out there, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and keep it real.
