The Hartlett Within Me

Don't worry the complete whore in me will not be coming out any time soon. However, I did take up my job once again. Yeah, the place which I wrote so vehemently this past summer about. What can I say, desperate times call for desperate measures.... real desperate measures!!! But its ok, I don't get to see my boss (and the boss of everyone) who bitched me out this last summer just because I let her 18 year old daughter cross the street all by her lonesome self. Well, let's not get into that because the pure thought of it makes me scringe with annoyance. Also, working at this office is such a conveniance because I only have to work Monday-Friday, it's never after 5pm, I can choose my own schedule, and it's at school. I can literally see my office from the window in my room. I guess I'll just have to see how this goes. *sigh*

But on a brighter note, last night I conducted (for the first time) the first D-House meeting of the semester. It was great! Well, it was actually an amazing feeling to be leading instead of being quiet. Don't worry I am not gettig a power high. It was just nice to see that I could actually pull this off, especially with all the drama that has been going on in the Drama House. Oh, the irony?!?!?! I still don't know how I feel about being the only female on the executive board, well at least, the boys can't manhandle me. =) I was overwhelmed with emotion when last night one of our members in the meeting said, "I am really happy about the new officers this, especially with Logistics. I think that she will do a great job!" I can't wait to get this year started. There is so much that the D-House is planning to do. We got a Open Mic, Talent Show, a play by a house member, the Thanksgiving Dinner, an awesomely amazing party, and other stuff lined up. And btw, I am thinking of throwing a Prom at the house, hopefull, this semeter. I just need to figure out the quirks and details. It would be so much fun! Just like Senior year of high school.... all the girls in their dresses and all the boys in their tuxes.
